On the Easel
The beginnings of a new challenge from the forum. I really enjoy this approach to watercolor but I am still on the low slope of the learning curve. I will post as progress continues.

Hi, my name is Glenda McClellan. I am a southerner living in the midsection of Ohio. Though many still ask, "Where are you from?" I am happy to say I am a Virginia girl. But after twenty odd years I can truly say Ohio is my home. I discovered watercolor here about twenty years ago. As mainly a self-taught artist, it has been many sheets of paper and many hours of trial and error. My method of watercolor has been, "OH...OH...OH ... well, it will be Okay." I fell in love with it when an evangelist's wife, Esther Pyle, allowed me to use her paint. I watched the mingle and flow of the colors on her palette and my heart was stolen. Watercolor is a fickle friend. It is always contrary and always suprising. I never grow tired of the effort. I am never pleased with my outcome. I always return. One thing that watercolor teaches me is that you have to make a success of what you have been given. Not all plans work, but you can still make it work. In future posts, I hope to share past paintings from "The Under the Bed Gallery." Also, I hope you will enjoy viewing the efforts currently on the easel. Drop by anytime.
